Retro Houses in the Heart of Massanutten Resort, Virginia

My two young children (3 and 5) and parents stayed at the Ski House in early June 2020. The house is so unique and has everything stocked–cleaning supplies, plastic wrap, paper towels. Even the light switches are labeled, which was such a nice touch. The owners have thought of everything to make your stay easy and comfortable. It was great to have games for the kids to play. The home itself has a nice layout and the hot tub was great! Good location; was able to get pizza delivered. During our stay I had timely communication with the owner. 

We had a wonderful time at the Nut House! The kitchen was fully stocked and the house was sparkling clean. We enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub in the evening. Jo is very responsive and has great recommendations in the house binder.

The Tree House is was a perfect getaway spot for myself and 9 friends to escape DC and spend a few days in the mountain in peak fall-foliage. The landing on the 2nd floor makes the house feel bigger than the pictures suggest. Jo’s exceptionally quick responses made it easy to coordinate and ask questions.

The Ski House was great and exactly what we were looking for. Close to Shenandoah but we felt like we were in a cabin in the woods. The adults loved the hot tub, the full kitchen, and the location. And at night you can see so many stars! We couldn’t have asked for a better trip. Jo was a great host and super communicative.

Loved the location, amenities, decor, and the hot tub! We even saw a few deer walking behind the house one night from the hot tub! The Nut House is a great place to stay and take day trips to Shenandoah and local wineries. This is definitely a favorite of all our vacation stays.
